Dear Kofim Parents,
We hope that your summer has started off as great as ours has at camp! We had a very busy and exciting first week. The Jewish Holiday we learned about this week was Rosh Hashanah. We learned about the importance of apples and honey to the holiday through many picture books. Many of the art projects we created this week incorporated apples. On Wednesday, we were able to perform a song for the whole camp on the stage at the end of the day. Another highlight of our Wednesday was that we were able to go in two bounce houses! We had another special event on Thursday. A DJ came to camp and we had a dance party for an hour Thursday afternoon. We all had a really good time dancing together in the auditorium! To end the week, the whole camp participated in Field Day and Counselor Olympics. Our group has been doing a fantastic job this summer at the pool. We have all been working really hard during our swim lessons. We’ve done a great job listening to our counselors and lifeguards and getting changed quickly by ourselves! We wanted to remind you that next Tuesday we have two exciting events planned for the campers. We have our first late night scheduled. During the day, all of camp will be participating in Tie-Dye Day and campers are encouraged to wear their favorite Tie-Dye t-shirt! We hope everyone has a great Fourth of July weekend! See you on Monday!
Sarah, Kevin, Iuli, and Casey
