The Weekly Buzz

This first week of camp has just flown by! All of our campers have been very busy meeting new friends, learning new songs, and creating art projects. So far, our group’s favorite songs are the Turtle Song and the Baby Bumblebee Song.

Everyone has been doing a great job in swim lessons by learning the pool rules, such as walking when we’re on the pool deck, listening to the lifeguard’s instructions, and safely entering and exiting the pool. While some campers are a little more water-shy than others, everyone has been doing their best to accustom themselves to the water and has done a wonderful job – especially with the chilly weather this week!

This week, we had lots of fun going on the Bouncy Bounce that was set up on the side of the building. We also sang the Baby Bumblebee Song with our friends in the Susim and Par-Parhim groups on the big outdoor stage in front of the rest of camp! On Thursday afternoon, we went to the auditorium and joined the rest of the camp in a dance party that many of our campers enjoyed.

Just as a reminder, we ask that you please label everything that you send in with your child, as many of the children have similar looking belongings and are about the same size. Labeling helps to avoid confusion about what object belongs to which child.

We hope that you all have a happy and safe Fourth of July weekend and we will see you soon for another great week!

Sincerely,

Katrina, Liz, Patrick, and Ally
