Gahlim Week 2

Dear Gahlim Parents and Campers,

We cannot believe that the first session of the summer is already over! This past week has gone by so quickly even though it has been super warm. We have been very busy with activities both inside and out. We are very sad to see some of our campers leaving us for the summer, but we also look forward to see all the Gahlim campers who will be returning.

For the campers that will be here next session we look forward to another great two weeks. Our Camp theme for next week is Passover. For those who do not know Passover is the Jewish holiday. which continues for eight days. The holiday observes the migration of the Jewish people out of Egypt.

Some special events going on next week such as “Rock Star Day” on Tuesday the 13th; we have our first late night on Wednesday the 14th and Photo day on Friday the 16th.

While we look forward for all of our great activities next week we remember all the fun things we did this past week at camp. In case you did not hear from your campers each day this week we had special surprises at camp. On Monday, we had our own Camp Chaverim Double-Dare game show. On Tuesday, we tried to stay cool by watching Princess and the Frog. On Wednesday, we were lucky to watch a very funny magic show, and on Thursday we were lucky to get snow cones!! Friday our Gahlim group was lucky to celebrate our own counselor Jacob’s birthday!

As this session comes to an end so does our first session of swimming lessons. Make sure to check your children’s bags for their swimming certificates or for their swimming progress reports. Over these past two weeks our counselors truly believe that all of our campers are already becoming stronger swimmers and we hope that soon everyone will be a blue bracelet for free swim.

Our Gahlim counselors will miss all of campers who are not returning and we hope to see you all soon.

Once again if you have any questions feel free to contact the JCC at 377-8803 and someone would be more than happy to answer your questions.

Thank You,
Your Gahlim counselors
Leah, Jacob and Mark
